I will judge him not by the color of his skin but by the content of his policies. I am a believer in the teachings of Dr Martin Luther King and as I take to heart his teaching that we should judge on the deeper conviction of ones character and not on the shallow hatred of ones race.
Having said that, I am deeply concerned that the direction Mr Obama will take our country could be disasterous. I will not blindly support my president regardless of his policies out of some need for political correctness. If he provides solid leadership that I feel will improve the outlook of the country I will speak his praise from the mountain top but if he follows through on the tax and spend, weak defense, social experimentation that he has promised, I will oppose him loud and clear.
I do not judge others on the basis of their sex or race but I will judge Mr Obamo on the content of his policies and I will encourage everyone I know to do the same. Our country's future depends on it.
